Officially started in 2007, The Peace Boutique is a social enterprise that represents independent artisans and cooperatives in Mexico by promoting the retention of cultural traditions through the sale of handcrafted products throughout North America, thereby increasing the financial stability of the artisans and their communities. We currently work with the indigenous Huichol communities of Nayarit and Jalisco, local independent artists residing in the Bay of Banderas, and the diversely skilled artisans from villages throughout Oaxaca. TPB donates 100% of profits to a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, PEACE Mexico. PEACE (Protection, Education, Animals, Culture, and Environment) works hand in hand with communities in Mexico to provide holistic education combined with community action programs that enable people to improve their quality of life as well as their financial stability. We are headquartered in Punta de Mita, Nayarit, within the same community that PEACE programs serve.
